Scott Lockey, Senior Director Partnerships, Cvent
Scott has been building partnerships in the technology space for over 20 years, with over 10 years of that in the event industry. He works strategically with partners to understand their goals and business drivers to find ways to support their growth through true partnership, creating programs that support these partner organizations, driving enablement and increase client and attendee value. In his spare time, you will likely find him on a golf course or in the kitchen.
Erin Abel, Owner, Third Coast Events
Erin has eight years of experience planning meetings and events in various locations across the United States. After completing many internships and graduating from Grand Valley State University with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Erin moved to Austin, Texas to be the Convention Coordinator for Texas Bankers Association. In June of 2015, Erin became the Programs Coordinator for The Charter Schools Office at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Now she loves being her own boss and working for multiple associations, non-profits, and corporations.
During the past year, Erin has been able to change some of her goals during the pandemic to help execute over 40 virtual events, attended by over 10,000 people, across more than 35 countries. She is excited to see how Third Coast can continue to grow in the coming years.
When Erin is not working, she enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling, watching and playing sports, and spending time with her husband, Ryan, and dog, Jeter.
Heather Black Cosgrave, Director of Customer Success & Operations
Heather Black Cosgrave brings over 25 years of experience working in multiple facets of the events and hospitality industries. Her extensive background in hotel sales and comprehensive project management for meetings and events give her the expertise to offer key support for freelancers and customers at Soundings Connect.
With her deep understanding of meeting & event operations and consideration for the multiple roles that contribute to a successful meeting strategy, Heather is highly skilled in leadership, finance, and building teams. Her ability to simultaneously manage a versatile portfolio of diverse projects stems from her customer strategy expertise and appreciation for how teams work together.
Prior to joining Soundings Connect, Heather spent 14 years working at Maritz Travel as a Sr. Meeting & Event Manager. She’s managed a wide variety of meetings and incentives and continues to build upon her early experience in sales for Hilton and Starwood. Clients and colleagues recognize the value of Heather’s considerable on-site experience and hotel knowledge, as well as her persistent positive attitude.
Lauren Canon, Customer Success Manager
Lauren holds nine years of experience planning and operating live and virtual events including product launches, PR events, incentive trips, and business meetings for various private and Fortune 500 companies in the automotive, financial, pharmaceutical, and technological industries.
Prior to entering the events world, she worked onboard the world's largest cruise ship as a high diver in an aqua show, taught English in Spain, and led trips for students in Costa Rica.
