Are you a current student or recent graduate curious about starting your career in the event and hospitality industry?

We’re here to help you begin your professional journey – whether you’re still in school or recently graduated. The hospitality and events industry continues to evolve in a changing economy, so it’s essential to understand how you can be best equipped as you enter the workforce.

Over the past several years, students and Generation Z have proven to be resilient, innovative individuals that seek flexibility and purpose. Thus, it is crucial to your professional journey to have a grasp on the breadth of available opportunities as well as how to advocate for yourself along the way.

During this webinar, we shared about navigating a career within hospitality and events, debunked common misconceptions, and learned about the world of freelancing. Using real-time word cloud activities, attendees were able to share their initial perceptions of the industry, as seen below.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to explore different career pathways in the industry (contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to choose just one!)

  • How to market your transferrable skills, regardless of your amount/level of professional experience

  • How to leverage your status as a student to maximize your professional opportunities while in school

  • How to gain access to resources and get involved in a community of young professionals

  • Hear the experiences of fellow Young Leaders who have started their professional careers within the industry
