Our client, a leading financial services firm, is seeking a seasoned Event Technology Specialist to support its growing Client Marketing & Events (CPS) division. This is a full-time, year-long contract role based in New York City, focused primarily on Cvent event builds and digital registration workflows. This individual will join a high-performing team that values precision, creativity, and collaboration.
Engagement Details
Location: New York City; In-office preferred (up to 5 days/week),
Engagement Length: 12 months, with potential for extension.
Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Responsibilities:
As the Event Technology Specialist, you will:
Lead the design, build, and execution of registration forms and event websites using Cvent, from inception through launch.
Configure workflows, segment logic, session paths, and conditional functionality tailored to specific audiences.
Conduct quality assurance testing and troubleshoot registration issues.
Ensure data accuracy across registration reports, manifests, cancellations, and rooming lists.
Respond to registration inquiries promptly and professionally.
Support teammates by owning simpler event builds and relieving workload on more complex projects.
Collaborate with internal planners, stakeholders, and the broader marketing and compliance teams.
Follow brand standards and technical requirements in all digital event touchpoints.
Participate in continuous platform and process improvement efforts.
Potentially expand scope over time to include direct stakeholder interaction, pending successful onboarding and internal training.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
Direct, hands-on Cvent experience, especially in building fully branded websites and managing complex registration logic.
Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and thorough approach to event QA.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Collaborative team player who takes pride in their work and delivers high-quality outcomes.
Effective communicator with a customer-focused mindset.
Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly.
Familiarity with Salesforce and experience syncing campaigns is a plus.
Must be tech-savvy and excited to learn.
