FAQs

Getting Set Up:

  • Ultimately, the StrengthsFinder assessment is a tool that will help you and your own self-development! We use it to help match you with the opportunities and customers that will be your best fit, but it can be used for so much more. Think of it as an investment in yourself!

  • Log in to view your profile here.

  • Contact gigs@soundingsconnect.com and we would be happy to update your profile.

  • Believe it or not, we actually don't have many autoresponders on for the inquiries that come through to us because we want to make sure you get to speak to an acutal person and get the best service you can! If you would like to check into the status of your application, reach out to gigs@soundingsconnect.com.

  • You can upload your updated resume in the same location that you can update your profile here. You can also send it directly to gigs@soundingsconnect.com and our team can update it for you.

  • If you haven't been receiving our newsletters, please first check you spam folder. If you don't see them here, feel free to email us at gigs@soundingsconnect.com so we can get you resubscribed.

  • This may be because you don’t have a field properly filled out. Please see below for some troubleshooting suggestions:

    1. Try taking a look at each question and ensuring everything that’s required has an answer.

    2. If everything is filled but you still can’t submit, you can either try taking a screenshot of each page of your answers, or saving the full page as a PDF, and send it over so we can manually input it for you.

  • Each month, we host a New Member Orientation for any new or returning members to learn more about Soundings. At the end of these orientations, we give you the opportunity to introduce yourself to us and other Thrive members.

Working with Soundings:

  • A member of the Soundings team will reach out based on the experience and interests listed in your Thrive profile. Keep an eye on our weekly newsletter as we often post opportunities there too.

  • No, we are a freelance/independent talent network that connects meeting and event professionals with companies seeking specialized skillsets. We do not post jobs, rather we make thoughtful connections!

  • We would love to partner with you! Reach out to gigs@soundingsconnect.com with a brief overview of your needs and we'll help you get set up.

  • We love referrals! Send the lead information to gigs@soundingsconnect.com and we can let you know if we can support with the needs of your lead. We'll even give you a referral commission if the project ends up contracting.

  • "We love referrals! You can share this page with them so they can learn more about the Soundings Thrive community and join using the form at the bottom .

Let then know to choose ""Referral"" in the form and to add your name as someone to thank. "

  • While our requests for roles vary based on the needs of our customers, we currently see opportunities for [PLACEHOLDER].

  • No, through our technology partner for worker's classification compliance and payroll, we are able to W-2 workers for various roles. While you can be evaluated as a 1099 and may qualify, some roles do not qualify as 1099 by the guidelines of our partner.

  • We offer upskilling opportunities (for example, our last AI training course) as well as webinars and other resources that are listed on our website. We've covered many topics in the past, so you can browse our recordings here (insert link maybe?) Please feel free to reach out with any suggestions for topics that we can cover in a future webinar/event!

Tracking & Payments:

  • You will get paid weekly once you start a project with Soundings. Whether you're working one project or five projects, all of your payments will come each Friday!

  • Unless stated otherwise by the customer you are working for, you submit any expenses incurred in the same location you track your hours worked. These reimbursements will show up with your weekly pay.

  • There are multiple benefits to entering your time weekly! First, the Soundings Team can approve your hours to guarantee you are paid on Friday for the previous week's completed hours. It also allows for the customer you are working with to be billed in a timely manner.

  • While there is currently no function in our time-tracking system to see your total hours worked by project, we encourage all workers to keep track of their hours separately.
