As a Talent Operations Manager, your primary mission is to identify, engage, and place the right talent to meet customer opportunities. You will partner closely with account managers to understand client needs and translate them into effective sourcing and placement strategies that ensure client success.
In addition, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how Soundings supports and grows our talent community. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you’ll strengthen our operational backbone by refining processes, ensuring scalability, and embedding our culture into every step of the talent journey.
This role blends hands-on execution—such as screening, onboarding, and communications—with process ownership and strategic input. It’s ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment, where adaptability, curiosity, and initiative are key.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Talent Strategy & Operations
Oversee the freelancer lifecycle: sourcing, screening, onboarding, and placement.
Ensure freelancer documentation, contracts (MSAs/SOWs), and compliance are accurate and timely.
Collaborate with account managers to anticipate client needs and design sourcing strategies.
Maintain and evolve systems (CRM, ATS, talent databases) to support smarter matching.
Talent & Client Engagement
Serve as a trusted contact for talent, guiding them through opportunities and onboarding.
Proactively share in-demand skill sets, upcoming projects, and learning opportunities.
Support account managers by coordinating talent-client interviews and project logistics.
Partner with marketing and community teams to engage talent through authentic communication.
Process & Continuous Improvement
Track and report key KPIs: time-to-match, freelancer retention, and satisfaction.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Contribute operational insights to leadership to help shape Soundings’ talent strategy.
