Director of Events - Full Time

Travel: Required for key events, including annual summit (Up to 15-20%)

Start Date: April/May 2026 

Salary Range: $140-180K - Determined by level of experience and role alignment

A leading executive coaching and business advisory organization is seeking a highly organized and execution-focused Director of Events to lead the delivery of high-impact events, including a flagship annual summit and a portfolio of executive-level experiences throughout the year. This role is responsible for creating premium, high-touch experiences for CEOs, coaches, and leadership teams, ensuring every event drives measurable business value, peer connection, and actionable outcomes. 

This individual will collaborate closely with internal leadership, coaches, and external partners to execute events that reflect a strong focus on execution, growth, and real-world results. 

In addition to execution, this role will contribute to the design and delivery of executive engagement experiences aligned with business priorities, supporting relationship development, retention, and overall community growth.

What You’ll Do:

Event Strategy & Execution 

  • Lead planning and execution of the annual flagship summit (500–600 attendees) 

  • Own execution of additional in-person and virtual events throughout the year 

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a broader portfolio of executive experiences aligned to business goals and community engagement 

  • Oversee event logistics including venue coordination, catering, AV, transportation, and production 

  • Ensure seamless, high-quality experiences aligned with executive-level expectations 

Speaker & Content Coordination 

  • Coordinate high-profile speakers including business leaders, authors, and subject matter experts 

  • Manage speaker logistics, communications, and presentation timelines 

  • Ensure alignment of content with business objectives and delivery of actionable value 

Executive Experience & Community Engagement 

  • Deliver premium, high-touch experiences for CEOs, coaches, and leadership teams 

  • Create high-trust environments that foster meaningful dialogue, peer learning, and connection 

  • Translate business objectives into thoughtfully designed event experiences that balance hospitality with measurable outcomes 

  • Support initiatives that drive engagement, retention, and long-term community value 

Program & Event Operations 

  • Oversee a full calendar of virtual and in-person events, including: 

  • Monthly webinars and community sessions 

  • In-person client and partner experiences 

  • Biannual coach and partner meetings 

  • Coordinate across internal teams, coaches, and vendors to ensure consistency and quality 

  • Contribute to the development and execution of a scalable, repeatable events program 

Technology & Registration Management 

  • Manage event platforms including CVENT and virtual tools (e.g., Zoom) 

  • Oversee registration, attendee communications, reporting, and data tracking 

  • Ensure a seamless digital experience from registration through post-event follow-up 

Budget & Vendor Management 

  • Support development and management of event budgets 

  • Coordinate vendor relationships including venues, production teams, and agencies 

  • Assist with contract coordination and negotiations as needed 

  • Track expenses and support post-event reconciliation 

Onsite Execution & Support 

  • Act as a key onsite leader during events 

  • Execute run-of-show and coordinate staff and vendors

  • Troubleshoot issues in real time and adapt quickly to changing needs 

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in fast-paced, high-pressure environments

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading complex events, ideally for executive or C-suite audiences 

  • Experience managing large-scale conferences (300+ attendees) 

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to interact with senior leaders and stakeholders 

  • Strong project management and organizational skills 

  • Experience with event technology platforms such as CVENT and Zoom 

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail 

  • Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments 

  • Willingness to travel for key events (up to 15-20% annually) 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Familiarity with YPO, EO, or comparable CEO peer networks 

  • Experience supporting or working within a coaching, consulting, or professional services organization 

  • Background in both virtual and in-person event formats with creative instincts for engagement 

  • Experience with post-event content production (recap video, photography direction, sizzle reels) 

    • A strategic thinker who can see the big picture and the 1,000 details at the same time

    • A relationship builder — vendors, speakers, coaches, and clients love working with you

    • A calm operator — you've handled the AV going down at a CEO conference and no one in the room noticed
