In our recent Cvent Certifications 101 webinar, Emily Butler, L&D Manager at Cvent, shared the exciting updates coming to some of the existing Cvent Certifications, and how they can help showcase your own knowledge and expertise on the platform.

1. The Event Management exam is getting shorter. Cvent is cutting it from around 55-60 questions to 45, same core competencies, less fatigue. Updated version launches mid-October 2026.
2. Certifications count toward your CMP. They qualify for CMP continuing education credits, with each course showing exactly how many.
3. Event Management is the top pick. Nearly 60% of session attendees flagged it as their most-wanted certification, and for good reason, it's the natural entry point.
4. Certifications aren't one-and-done. They last two years before renewal is required, so building them into your ongoing CEU planning matters.
5. There's a clear path from foundational to advanced. Cvent mapped out how its certifications build on each other so you know what to tackle next.
