Senior Project Manager - Life Sciences
Contract | Remote Based | 20 Hours/Week (500 Project Hours)
Availability: March - December 2026
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager (SPM) to support an ongoing Life Sciences account from March through December 2026. This role is designed to provide strategic and operational oversight across a portfolio of external medical meetings and congress-related initiatives.
While the programs may vary in size and scope, this position requires strong healthcare compliance knowledge, client-facing polish, and the ability to quickly integrate into active projects with minimal ramp-up time.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
This role is perfect for someone looking for an opportunity to operate at a high level while maintaining flexibility and balance. This position allows an experienced life sciences professional to leverage their compliance expertise, client relationship skills, and event leadership capabilities across a variety of impactful medical meetings and congresses, without being tied to a single long-term initiative. It’s perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys stepping into active programs with confidence, values autonomy, and takes pride in delivering polished, compliant, and seamless experiences for healthcare stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
As the Senior Project Manager – Life Sciences, you will:
Serve as the primary point of contact for the client across multiple medical meetings and congress-related activities.
Ensure full compliance with healthcare regulations (including PhRMA, EFPIA, and Sunshine Act) across planning, execution, and reconciliation phases.
Manage end-to-end meeting logistics, including venue coordination, supplier communication, attendee registration, housing blocks, and ground transfers.
Collaborate with medical, legal, and compliance teams to uphold HCP engagement standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain project timelines, call agendas, status reports, and vendor contracts.
Oversee budget tracking, forecasting, and reconciliation in partnership with the client’s internal finance teams.
Provide on-site leadership for select programs, ensuring seamless execution and stakeholder satisfaction.
Manage multiple sporadic or rolling assignments simultaneously while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
We’re Looking for Someone Who Has:
5+ years of project or event management experience, with recent work in life sciences or healthcare.
Demonstrated experience managing external medical meetings and congress programs.
Strong understanding of healthcare compliance tools and reporting practices.
Ability to quickly onboard into new initiatives and operate with minimal direction.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships and cross-functional teams.
Experience working in fast-paced, client-facing environments.
