Our Global Consulting Firm client is seeking a Meetings & Events Supplier Management Manager – Contracting to support the execution, negotiation, and management of supplier agreements across a global meetings and events portfolio. This role is responsible for ensuring contractual compliance, mitigating risk, supporting supplier relationships, and driving operational excellence across event-related sourcing and contracting activities. 

Operating at the intersection of Event Management, Procurement, Legal, Risk, and Finance, this professional will support complex supplier agreements, promote governance and compliance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enable successful event execution.

What You’ll Do:

As the Meeting & Events Supplier Management Manager – Contracting, you will support: 

Contracting & Supplier Management 

  • Support negotiations and contracting for complex, high-value supplier agreements across hotels, production partners, destination management companies, agencies, and event vendors. 

  • Review, draft, and manage contracts using established templates, policies, and risk frameworks. 

  • Support execution of master service agreements and supplier contracting strategies across key event categories. 

  • Coordinate supplier interactions while balancing business, legal, operational, and financial considerations. 

  • Maintain contract documentation and ensure timely execution throughout the contracting lifecycle. 

Risk Management & Compliance 

  • Identify contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies. 

  • Escalate complex legal, commercial, or operational risks when appropriate. 

  • Ensure contracts comply with established policies, governance standards, and risk management requirements. 

  • Support implementation of contracting controls and standardization initiatives. 

Stakeholder Support & Collaboration 

  • Serve as a resource for internal stakeholders on contracting-related matters. 

  • Explain contractual terms, processes, and implications to business partners. 

  • Partner with Event Management, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and suppliers to resolve issues and support timely contract execution. 

  • Facilitate communication among stakeholders throughout negotiations, approvals, and execution. 

Technology & Process Improvement 

  • Utilize contract lifecycle management systems and AI-enabled contracting tools to improve efficiency and transparency. 

  • Support adoption of new technologies, processes, and best practices. 

  • Contribute to process documentation, playbooks, templates, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. 

  • Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement. 

Data Management & Team Support 

  • Maintain accurate contract records and reporting data. 

  • Support onboarding and training efforts for new team members. 

  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence. 

  • Build expertise in supplier contracting, negotiation, and risk management. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required. 

  • Advanced degree, paralegal certification, or legal studies background preferred. 

  • 4–7+ years of experience in supplier contracting, procurement, legal operations, risk management, or a related field. 

  • Experience supporting commercial negotiations and contract administration. 

  • Understanding of contract terms, negotiation strategies, and risk management principles. 

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Experience working within a large, matrixed, global organization preferred. 

  • Meetings & Events, hospitality, procurement, or professional services experience highly desirable. 

  • Professional proficiency in English required.
