On-site Volunteer Coordinator/Manager
On-site Volunteer Coordinators/Managers work in conjunction with an organization’s Events team to understand the needs for and of volunteers. They are able to provide assistance when organizing strategy, but thrive in the execution. These outstanding communicators manage every element of volunteering such as connecting with local organizations to develop relationships, recruiting volunteers that accurately meet needs, training for on-site execution, team-building and acting as a liaison between the event and volunteers through the event duration.
These masters of delegation are comfortable with speaking in front of large groups as part of training and are easily able to manage multiple tasks at once. On-site Volunteer Coordinators/Managers understand that event volunteers’ roles often change from hour-to-hour and day-to-day, thereby strong and seamless communication and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite for success. They have experience managing volunteer groups from 3 to 300 and are comfortable in a position of leadership.
